Fall is in full swing and for me that means being busy nonstop. I am a Physical and Health Education teacher at the Wakefield-Marenisco school district in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is a wonderful little school that is positioned right next to Sunday Lake with miles and miles of hiking and biking trails. I have a great support system at school that encourages me to take my students out paddling on the lake and hiking and mountain biking on our local trails. I also love to go on field trips with my students to show them all of the beauty and opportunities that we have in our local community.
This is my ninth year as the head cross country coach of our local school co-op. This season is coming to a close with our UP Finals meet being held this coming Saturday in Gladstone. With practice everyday and meets one to two days per week this season flies by.
In between these I own a fitness studio in Ironwood, MI called NRG Fitness. I offer group fitness classes and small group training to our local community. NRG also offers classes from five additional instructors to create a space that has something for everyone!
In all my time I have leftover and in between I love to squeeze in activities with my partner, Jess, our two dogs and our family and friends. We have been trying to get in all the lake days and biking days we can before our winter adventures begin.
