Description

Do you belong to that great class of hardy Northern people known as Yoopers? This handcrafted pendant is made from salvaged Upper Peninsula copper so you can now wear a little piece of home with you wherever you go.

  • Recycled sterling silver.
  • Recycled Upper Peninsula copper from the White Pine Mine near Ontonagon, Michigan. 
  • Size = 1/2" (1.3cm) diameter.
  • Engraved "Yooper Roots" on the back.

    Pendant size & fit

    When determining the size of the pendant you would like to purchase, please reference the item description which includes the size* of the pendant. We also include an image with a hand in the picture to help visualize the size. It would be best to pull out a ruler so you can fully visualize the size of the pendant. 

    When choosing a pendant for another person, we find that our customers choose pieces that are similar to their overall stature. People that are shorter and smaller tend to like smaller items (3/4” or smaller), tall slender people tend to like our larger pieces (7/8” or larger).

    I have now given my 2 daughters and 1 daughter-in-law these pendants. We're from DeWitt but love our UP home too. They ❤️ them. Next summer.. 5 grand daughters and 2 grand sons. See you then.

    Sentimental Connection

    The Yooper Roots Pendant has significant emotional connection for me, having grown up in White Pine where the copper for the UP was mined. The town and UP is endearing to me and this piece is very special.

    It’s a wonderful piece, however it’s smaller than I expected and the 18 inch chain is just a little too short.
