Who wouldn't love these earrings? The shape, the size, and the brightness of the moon on the copper are perfection. Plus, moon and stars arguably go with everything.
What really draws me to this piece in particular is the Mokume Gane technique used to mirror the unique mineral banding in the cliffs at Pictured Rocks. Mokume Gane is an old Japanese metalworking technique that fuses mixed-metal into a laminate with distinctive layered patterns. Mokume Gane actually translates to, "wood grain metal." And the end result, is stunning. Beth really captured the magic of the cliffs.
I love the woodpecker on the birch! I mean, what a unique and creative design. It is a sure attention grabber for anyone who wears them.
Upper Peninsula of Michigan Profile Ring
Growing up in the Upper Peninsula is an important part of who I am. This ring is a comfortable way to show off my Yooper pride and make me smile. Of course, the locally sourced copper from the White Pine Mine is another piece of my home I can carry with me everywhere I go.
Starry Night on Lake Superior Pendant
Part of growing up in the Upper Peninsula means forming an inevitable connection to Lake Superior. I adore Superior, so this pendant was an easy pick for me. The star texture is reminiscent of summer nights on the beach. And of course, I love the U.P. copper used since it further connects you to the area when you wear it.
