We've had an amazing amount of support for this past year's fundraiser pendants, and we'd love to keep that ball rolling! BMJ is thrilled to announce this year's partners for our Fundraiser Jewelry program. The Marquette County Conservation District is a local unit of state government with the purpose of solving conservation and natural resource issues. Our district strives "to preserve, protect, and maintain the resources and people that give this land its identity." They provide many services to residents of Marquette County including forest and invasive species management, selecting native plants for your land, securing funding for conservation projects, and much more. We love that they also put on events like clean ups, wildflower sales, and educational talks!

Keweenaw Wild Bird R.E.C. is an amazing non-profit committed to helping our local migratory birds (with the exception of birds of prey) through conservation projects and you guessed it - rehabilitation! They also provide education geared towards school-aged children, as a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship starts young. We carry a great amount of love for our winged friends here at BMJ and we are grateful for their dedication to getting these birds back out into their habitats!

In 1972, the Copper Country Community Arts Center was formed with the intention of "fostering an environment where the arts and people grow together." Overtime, it grew from a small group cultivating the arts to an accomplished organization with their own art center that operates a sales gallery representing local artists, offers art-making and viewing opportunities to their community, and provides lots of different events for all age ranges! A life filled with art is a life well-lived.

And lastly, but certainly not least - Marquette Fringe, a performing arts organization established in 2020 devoted to providing a platform for non-traditional arts. Marquette Fringe is well-known for their flagship event, The Fall Phantasm, a free, day-long festival filled with arts of all forms. Theatre, dance, song - all infused with a touch of magic. We also love the other events they put on to support our local artists, like their Drag Menagerie, Reconnect, and the Midwinter Ball!
